“O Lord!”

“O Lord!”

Blessings folk!

A unified enemy was gathering against Israel and King Jehoshaphat.

The King was fearful.

What did he do?
He turned his attention to the Lord.
He called for a fast throughout all Judah.
They all sought the help of the Lord.

Then, the king did something unusual…

2 Ch 20:5

Then Jehoshaphat stood in the assembly of Judah and Jerusalem,
in the house of the LORD before the new court,

The King stood before the people.
They had assembled in the house of the Lord.

The King then did this…

2 Ch 20:6
and he said,
“O LORD, the God of our fathers, are You not God in the heavens?
And are You not ruler over all the kingdoms of the nations?
Power and might are in Your hand so that no one can stand against You.

The King prayed.
Before everyone.
In humility.

He declared that God was the God of their fathers.
He declared that God was the God in the heavens.
He declared that God was the ruler over all the kingdoms of the nations.
He declared that power and might are in God’s hands.
He declared that no one can stand against God.

Give heed.
Use this as a pattern of declaration when the enemy and fear come against you!
