“Derided…?”

Blessing folk!

We questioned ourselves yesterday...in what do we take comfort?

It is in the Lord and His Word that true “comfort” resides.

But, what about when folk attack, belittle, undermine, deride?

Psalm 119:51-52
51 The arrogant utterly deride me,
Yet I do not turn aside from Your law.
52 I have remembered Your ordinances from of old, O Lord,
And comfort myself.

When utterly derided by the arrogant, do not turn aside from the Law of the Lord.
Stand firm in the Word of the Lord.
Remember the ordinances of the Lord.
The ordinances from old...long ago.
Comfort is there.

Be not one who derides.
Be one who speaks the Word of the Lord, thereby bringing comfort.

Do not turn aside to the strategies and responses of man.
Stand firm in the Lord - His Word and the Might of His Power.
