“Signs So That You May Believe”

Today’s reading:
John 20:30-31

Knowing the purpose of a particular writing in the Word helps us understand the Word of the Lord.
In this passage, John tell us forthrightly his purpose.
Jesus did many, many signs in the presence of His disciples.
Many more than were given in the account of John.
John tells us that the signs he mentioned were written so that we may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God and that believing we might have life in His name.
That is the purpose of the gospel of John.
Believe that Jesus is the Christ.
Believe that Jesus is the Son of God.
Believing will bring Life in His Name.
Do we truly believe?
Do we have His Life?
