“Great Tribulation Cut Short”

Blessings folk!

Let us see what Matthew tells us about the response to the abomination of desolation…

Mat 24:15-20

“Therefore when you see the ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand),

then those who are in Judea must flee to the mountains.

“Whoever is on the housetop must not go down to get the things out that are in his house.

“Whoever is in the field must not turn back to get his cloak.

“But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days!

“But pray that your flight will not be in the winter, or on a Sabbath.

Basically the same as Mark, a little more emphasis on not fetching stuff from the house.

Now, look at what both say in expanding upon the seriousness of the situation.

Mar 13:19-20
“For those days will be a time of tribulation such as has not occurred since the beginning of the creation which God created until now, and never will.

“Unless the Lord had shortened those days, no life would have been saved;
but for the sake of the elect, whom He chose, He shortened the days.

Mat 24:21-22
“For then there will be a great tribulation,
such as has not occurred since the beginning of the world until now, nor ever will.

“Unless those days had been cut short, no life would have been saved;
but for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short.

Jesus coined the phrase “great tribulation.”

These days will be so intense that no life would be saved unless the Lord shortens the days!

What does this mean?

Remember, the great tribulation is the wrath of satan being poured out upon Israel/Jews and the Church…the true Body of Christ.

Unless the Lord shortens these days, satan will kill all Jews and true Christians.
The Lord does shorten the days.
This is a major point unknown or ignored by many “end-time” commentators.

A short synopsis.
The man-of-lawlessness/antichrist will declare himself to be God at the mid-point of the 70th Week of Daniel (Daniel 9)…half way through the 7-year period.
He will then persecute Israel and the church.
At some point, known only to God the Father but no longer than three years and one month later, the days will be cut short.
What cuts them short? The rapture of the Church!

The rapture of the Church cuts short the great tribulation.
The rapture of the Church also initiates the Day of the Lord.

Those of Israel who do not believe and remain will still be persecuted, but the days will be short and many will survive…to enter the Kingdom of God.

Dark days are ahead.
Great hope and light are ahead.

Are you ready?
