Mat 13:18-19

“Hear then the parable of the sower.

“When anyone hears the word of the kingdom and does not understand it,
the evil one comes and snatches away what has been sown in his heart.
This is the one on whom seed was sown beside the road.

The Seed of the Word of the Kingdom had been sown.

The Seed had landed “beside the road”.

Soil beat down.
Soil hardened.
Soil fallow.

The Seed was left exposed.

The picture?

This speaks of one who hears the Word of the Kingdom.
Yet, they do not understand.

The evil one then comes in and snatches away what has been sown in his heart.

Note that the Word was heard at the level of the heart.

Why did he not understand?
Lack of faith?
Sin.
Refusal.

The Seed that was there is gone.

Snatched by the enemy.

May we as Believers speak forth Truth for understanding…
