“Witness 2: Works”

Blessings folk!

Jesus was telling the Jewish Religious leadership that there were several witnesses that testified of Him.

Yesterday, we saw the witness of John the Baptist.

Read closely of the next witness.

John 5:36

36 But the testimony which I have is greater than the testimony of John; for the works which the Father has given Me to accomplish—the very works that I do—testify about Me, that the Father has sent Me.

Jesus straightly states that His testimony is greater than John’s.

What was the testimony?

The works.
The works that were given to Jesus by Father to accomplish.
These very works testify of Jesus.

What does the testimony say?

That Jesus was sent by Father.

The Religious knew exactly what Jesus was saying.
That He was of God.
That He was sent by God.
That the works He did...and which they hated...were of God.

What do our works testify of us?
Do we do the work that Father has given each of us to accomplish?
Or, do we manifest works of the flesh disguised as religious activities?

Do our works testify that we are of the Lord?
