“Blessed”

Blessings Folk!

Today’s reading:

Luke 11:27-28

We often speak of blessings.
We seek being blessed.
We associate “blessed/blessings” with certain things...often earthly, material.

As Jesus was teaching, a woman cried out a blessing to Jesus’ mother.
Just a way of saying how precious it must be to have a child like Him.

Jesus would have none of it.

He revealed what true blessing is.

Hear the Word of God.
Observe the Word of God.

Instead of pursuing all the things that are considered a “blessing” do what Jesus says.

Those who hear the Word of God...
Those who obey the Word of God…
These are Blessed.

Simple.
