“Rejoice Not At Distress”

Blessings folk!

It is amazing at how much the Word has to say about “rejoicing”.
We are commanded to rejoice.
We are instructed to rejoice.
We see people determining to rejoice.

Those who are true believers have the joy of the Lord.
We simply allow Him to flow joyously through us.

The Word also shows how there are those who will “rejoice” in evil.
They will “rejoice” in that which is not good.

Psa 35:26-27
Let those be ashamed and humiliated altogether who rejoice at my distress;
Let those be clothed with shame and dishonor who magnify themselves over me.
Let them shout for joy and rejoice, who favor my vindication;
And let them say continually, “The LORD be magnified,
Who delights in the prosperity of His servant.”

There will be those who rejoice at our distress.
Some of these may call themselves “believers”.
The Psalmist calls for shame, dishonor and humiliation to come upon such.

May we rejoice and seek the prosperity of OneAnother.

3Jo 1:2
Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers.
