“Early, Secluded, Prayer”

Blessings folk!

Jesus has spent the evening healing the ill and demon-possesed.

So, did He “take the next day off”?

Well, in a manner of speaking, yes.

But not in the way of most men.

Most will seek “a”-muse-ment.
To muse means “to think”, “to reflect”.
“A” as a prefix means “not”!
So, “amusement” means to “not think”, “reflect”, etc.

Jesus did not do this.

Watch what He did.

Mar 1:35
In the early morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house,
and went away to a secluded place, and was praying there.

Yes..early in the morning…before sunrise.
Jesus got up…he had been asleep.
Jesus left the house.
Jesus went away to a secluded place.
Jesus prayed there.
Jesus communed with Father.

A time of refreshing? Yes.
A time of amusement? No.

Times of fellowship? Yes
Times of “re-creation”? Yes.
Times of breaking of bread? Yes.

Times of pursuing the foolishness of man? No.

Waste not life on amusements.
Rather, seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness.

Follow the pattern of the Lord.
Arise early.
Pray/Seek the Lord in a secluded place.
