“The Power of God”

Blessings folk!

Think on this phrase…”the power of God”.

What does it mean?
What is it?
Does what we do…individually and corporately…reflect a true understanding of “the power of God”?

Read these verses.
Reflect upon the power of God.

Rom 1:16
For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.

1Co 1:18
For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

1Co 1:24
but to those who are the called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.

1Co 2:5
so that your faith would not rest on the wisdom of men, but on the power of God.

The gospel is the power of God for salvation…to all who believe.
What is the “gospel”? The good news…

The word of the cross is the power of God…to those of us who are being saved. For those who believe.

Christ is the power of God…and the wisdom of God…for those called.

Our faith…the faith of those that truly believe…does not rest in the wisdom of me, but on the power of God.

Simple truths.
Profound “theological” insights…if we choose to see. If we choose to believe.

…to be continued…

Do not be as the “religious learned”…

Mat 22:29
But Jesus answered and said to them, “You are mistaken, not understanding the Scriptures nor the power of God.

Mar 12:24
Jesus said to them, “Is this not the reason you are mistaken, that you do not understand the Scriptures or the power of God?

Jesus was speaking to the religious rulers and teachers.
They “knew” the Scripture.
Yet, they did not know the Scripture.
They did not know the power of God.

Do you?
