“Conduct Yourselves in Fear”

As we have seen, God commands that we be holy, for He is holy.

Read the following truths…

1 Peter 1:17-19
17 If you address as Father the One who impartially judges according to each one’s work, conduct yourselves in fear during the time of your stay on earth;
18 knowing that you were not redeemed with perishable things like silver or gold from your futile way of life inherited from your forefathers,
19 but with precious blood, as of a lamb unblemished and spotless, the blood of Christ.

We learn that Father - God - judges impartially according to each one’s work.

We then see how we are to live.
If we call Him Father, then…

• conduct ourselves in fear during the time upon earth.
• know that we are redeemed by the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ...spotless, unblemished.
• know that we are not redeemed by perishable things, silver, gold

Living the redeemed life covered by the blood of Jesus will empower us to live holy.

We cannot live a holy life in the flesh, only in and through the Spirit.
