Jesus had finished teaching in the synagogue.
He and others head to Simon and Andrew’s house.
There they find Peter’s mom suffering from a high fever.

Did you see what Jesus did?

At the behest of family members He went to her.
He rebuked the fever.
He touched her hand.
He raised her up gently by her hand.

Rebuking a fever?

Rebuke means to admonish...to charge sharply.

He told the fever to leave.

What was “it” that he told?

I believe it was likely an evil spirit that was causing a physical problem that was manifesting a fever.

When Jesus rebuked it, it left.
The fever was gone.
Strength was restored.
She served them.

This is the life of the Kingdom.
Are you manifesting the Kingdom?
