“I In Them. You In Me”
Blessings folk!
We are One as the Body of Christ.
Of course, many will “creep in” - read the book of Jude.
Many will “fake it” - “tares”, “false christs”, etc.
Many will think they are “fine” because they are involved with religious activities.
But, the true Believer.
The one who has truly confessed, repented and called upon the name of the Lord…
They are One…
Hear what Jesus said to Father…
John 17:22-23
“The glory which You have given Me I have given to them,
that they may be one, just as We are one;
I in them and You in Me,
that they may be perfected in unity,
so that the world may know that You sent Me,
and loved them, even as You have loved Me.
Look at each point.
Father gave glory to Jesus.
Jesus gave that glory to “them” - the immediate disciples and us.
Why?
That we may be One.
One as Father/Son/Spirit is.
Jesus in us.
Father in Son
Why?
That we may be perfected in unity…literally means “into one” …completed into one.
Why?
So that the world will know that Father sent Jesus.
So that the world will know that Jesus loves them.
So that the world will know that they are loved even as Father loves Jesus.
I believe this is foundational truth that is unknown/unlived by the Body.
How different would we live and do things if we truly knew and lived this?
