“Made Perfect Forever”

Blessings folk!

We continue to see Who Jesus is…what He did for us…the meaning of His sacrifice.

Remember, all this comes from examining Abraham as one of the great cloud of witnesses from Hebrews 11.
Abram had an encounter with Melchizedek.
Melchizedek was a ‘type of’ and ‘foreshadowing’ of the Lord Jesus.

Heb 7:25-28

Therefore He is able also to save forever those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.

For it was fitting for us to have such a high priest, holy, innocent, undefiled, separated from sinners and exalted above the heavens;

who does not need daily, like those high priests, to offer up sacrifices, first for His own sins and then for the sins of the people, because this He did once for all when He offered up Himself.

For the Law appoints men as high priests who are weak, but the word of the oath, which came after the Law, appoints a Son, made perfect forever.

Jesus is…

  • our High Priest
  • Holy
  • Innocent
  • Undefiled
  • Separated from sinners
  • Exalted above the heavens

Jesus offered Himself up, once and for all

The priests of the Law were weak.
They had to offer up sacrifices for their own sins, then the sins of the people.
This was according to the Law given by the Most High.
They sacrificed repeatedly.
Jesus offered Himself as sacrifice once.

Jesus did so by the Word of the Oath of Father.
This Word was after the Law.
This Word appoints a Son.
This Word was made perfect forever.
This is Who has saved us.
This is Who has called us.
This is Who we worship.
Do so in Spirit and Truth.
