"Accomplished…in Christ…by Power"

“Accomplished…in Christ...by Power”

Blessings folk!

Yesterday we saw where Paul desired to boast only in Christ.

We continue…

Romans 15:17-19
17 Therefore in Christ Jesus I have found reason for boasting in things pertaining to God.
18 For I will not presume to speak of anything except what Christ has accomplished through me, resulting in the obedience of the Gentiles by word and deed,
19 in the power of signs and wonders, in the power of the Spirit; so that from Jerusalem and round about as far as Illyricum I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.

Paul tells us that he had “fully preached the gospel of Christ” from Jerusalem to Illyricum.
He held back nothing of the truth of the gospel.
He could have told many a thing, yet, he would not presume to speak of anything other than what Christ had accomplished.

Again, only what Christ had accomplished.

That is what we are to do.

Speak of what the Lord has accomplished.

Not only “inviting someone” to an event.

Speak of what Christ has accomplished in your life.
This is most powerful thing that we can share.

What the Lord had accomplished through Paul...what He will accomplish through us if we allow… will result in obedience unto faith of the unsaved.

In Paul’s case the Gentiles believed.
They believed by word...they professed a belief.
They believed by deed...their deeds confirmed their professed faith.

Note how is was accomplished through Paul…

  • in the power of signs and wonders
  • in the power of the Spirit.

Such should be occurring in our lives.
The Lord desires to do so.
What is hindering?
