“Comfort In the Midst of Hail”

Blessings folk!

A little sidebar for today.

Locally, we had some serious storms blow through last evening.

Hail the size I had never seen before…softball/grapefruit and larger.

Really messed up our youngest daughter’s car…and several hundred others as well as businesses, etc.

Makes one consider…
If 2-3 lb hailstones can cause such damage.
What of…?

Rev 16:21
And huge hailstones, about one hundred pounds each, came down from heaven upon men; and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail,
because its plague was extremely severe.

Then this.

Such events can be frightening, especially for children (and adults?).

Our local grandson, seven, was scared. Had his helmet on (actually one of my motorcycle helmets).
The initial wave had passed, so we came out of basement into living room.
He was still scared.
He grabbed one of his Bible-story books and brought it to me saying, “read this to me. It makes me feel better”.

Hummm…

“Read this to me. It makes me feel better.”

The Word is comfort in all things.

Psa 119:49-50

Zayin.
Remember the word to Your servant,
In which You have made me hope.

This is my comfort in my affliction,
That Your word has revived me.

The Lord and His Word is our comfort, our strength.

May we have the faith of the child.
Wait until I tell you about Max…tomorrow…
