“Believe+Baptize=Saved”

Blessings folk!

We have been examining the Lord’s instruction/command/commission unto believers to “go”.

Read the passage from Mark.

Mark 16:15-18
And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.
“He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned.
“These signs will accompany those who have believed: in My name they will cast out demons, they will speak with new tongues;
they will pick up serpents, and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.

We are to go.
The Lord commanded His disciples to do so.
Some will say that this command only applies to the ones who heard it from the Lord.
Such is not so.
It is a command for all believers.

Note the details…

  • We are to go.
  • We are to go into all the world.
  • We are to preach the gospel to all creation.

Then, these details.
  • He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved.

True salvation is through faith...believing.
Baptism is the outward declaration that one believes.
If someone says “I believe” and yet refuses to be baptized, then they are not truly saved.
(I speak of the baptism associated with salvation/faith. Not the “organization baptism” required by man.)

Believe...be baptized=saved.
Disbelieve the gospel=condemnation.

The Word tells us to examine ourselves to see if we are of the faith.
Are you?
