"The Woman Whom You Gave to Be With Me..."

“The Woman Whom You Gave to Be With Me…”

Blessings folk!

The Lord asked Man “who told you that you were naked?”
Of course the Lord knew.
The Lord was giving Man an opportunity to confess, repent…speak forth the truth.

So, what did Man do?
What Man always does.
Blame someone else.

Gen 3:11-12

And He said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you not to eat?”

The man said, “The woman whom You gave to be with me, she gave me from the tree, and I ate.”

Man blamed Woman.
But Man went even further.
Read the passage again.

Who else did Man blame?

“The Woman whom You gave to be with me…”

Adam was blaming God.
He was passing the responsibility for his rebellion to the Lord.

Nothing changes.
Man does the same today.

How quickly Adam went from “wow, this is it” when God presented Woman to him.
Now, it is “y’all’s fault”!

Adam stated the truth…”she gave me from the tree, and I ate”.

He gave no thought to the fact that he should have said no.
He simply wanted to justify himself before the Lord.
He wanted to fault someone else.
The reality was that Adam was responsible.
We are all responsible for what we do.
No one else.

Point not the finger.
