“Judge Not, Be Not An Obstacle”

Blessings folk!

The past few weeks...now months...we have been examining what the Word says about OneAnother.

So much!

When the Word states something we must check out the context to get the full meaning.

Such is the case with the following verse.

Romans 14:13
13 Therefore let us not judge one another anymore, but rather determine this—not to put an obstacle or a stumbling block in a brother’s way.

There are two instructions/commands in this verse specifically related to OneAnother.

1. Do not judge one another anymore. Folk jump on this quickly. How many times do we hear that we “are not to judge OneAnother”? Context is important as we shall see. We are to judge, but, we are to judge in the manner the Lord instructs.

1. We are not to put an obstacle or a stumbling block in the way of OneAnother. Believers also refer to this often. We shall see what it means.

The first word of the verse is revealing and important - “Therefore…”

Therefore…
In light of…

I suspect that we are about to see some interesting things about judging.
I suspect that we are about to learn some things about OneAnother.
