1 Th 2:17-18

But we, brethren, having been taken away from you for a short while—in person, not in spirit—were all the more eager with great desire to see your face.

For we wanted to come to you—I, Paul, more than once—and yet Satan hindered us.

Though Paul was absent in body, he was with them in spirit.

He was very eager with great desire to see them face-to-face.

He has tried to return.
More than once.

Yet, he had been hindered.

He tells us the source of the hindrance - satan.

We face the same type of hindrances.’
