“When They Began Singing and Praising…”

Blessings folk!

The people were going out to…
Station
Stand
See.

The King spoke a word of exhortation.

The King had consulted with the people and they decided to put the worshippers at the tip of the spear.
The worshippers would lead the people…even ahead of the army…

2 Ch 20:21
When he had consulted with the people,
he appointed those who sang to the LORD and those who praised Him in holy attire,
as they went out before the army and said,
“Give thanks to the LORD, for His lovingkindness is everlasting.”

They were to give thanks to the Lord..
They were to thank the Lord for His everlasting lovingkindness.
As they moved forth to “go down against the enemy” they were to praise knowing that the battle belonged to the Lord.

Now, watch what happened…

2 Ch 20:22
When they began singing and praising,
the LORD set ambushes against the sons of Ammon, Moab and Mount Seir,
who had come against Judah; so they were routed.

When they began singing and praising.
Not when they reached the destination of the enemy.
When they began singing and praising.

The Lord set ambushes against the enemy.
The enemy was routed and destroyed one another by the hand of the Lord.
The hand of the Lord was initiated when the people worshipped Him.

Think on that.
Worship the Lord, especially in the midst of difficult times!
