1 Th 5:23
Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you entirely; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved complete, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

- soul
- body
…be preserved completely
…without blame
…at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

We learn much here.

Paul expected the Lord to return…to come again.

He wanted them to be preserved.
Complete.

Notice what was to be preserved.
Spirit.
Soul.
Body.

We are tripartite beings.
We consist of spirit - that which humans have alone…made in the image of God.
We consist of soul - the seat of the emotions…some animals share this with us.
We consist of body - all have a body.

Paul desired for all three parts to be preserved at the coming of the Lord.

Interesting.

Will all three still exists in the eternal state?
