“God Remembered...”
Blessings folk!
Yesterday, we saw that the “water prevailed over the earth”. It covered all the earth. It prevailed for 150 days.
But, the Lord did not forget Noah and the life in the Ark...
Gen 8:1-3
But God remembered Noah and all the beasts and all the cattle that were with him in the ark; and God caused a wind to pass over the earth, and the water subsided.
Also the fountains of the deep and the floodgates of the sky were closed, and the rain from the sky was restrained;
and the water receded steadily from the earth, and at the end of one hundred and fifty days the water decreased.
The Lord began the process of restoration. He sent a wind to pass over the earth. He closed the fountains of the deep. He closed the floodgates of the sky.
(Both are interesting. Are they still there...the fountains, the floodgates?) The rain from the sky was restrained.
The water steadily receded. We might be inclined to say that is “slowly” receded, but considering the depth of water, it occurs quickly.
The water had decreased by the end of another 150 days.
God provided protection for righteous Noah. God provided provision for continuity of life. God provided the process for judgment and “washing” away of evil. God did not forget them.
Neither will He forget those who are His when his wrath is poured forth on the Day of the Lord. True Believers are in Him and will be remembered, even as Noah.
Fear not!
