Gen 13:12-13

Abram settled in the land of Canaan, while Lot settled in the cities of the valley, and moved his tents as far as Sodom.

Now the men of Sodom were wicked exceedingly and sinners against the LORD.

After Lot left, the Lord spoke to Abram…

Gen 13:14-17
The LORD said to Abram, after Lot had separated from him, “Now lift up your eyes and look from the place where you are, northward and southward and eastward and westward;

for all the land which you see, I will give it to you and to your descendants forever.

“I will make your descendants as the dust of the earth, so that if anyone can number the dust of the earth, then your descendants can also be numbered.

“Arise, walk about the land through its length and breadth; for I will give it to you.”

Remember Lot lifting up his eyes and taking the land that looked good?

Here, we see Abram lifting up his eyes…at the commandment of the Lord.

Look at what the Lord to him and promised him.

• lift up your eyes
• he was to look in all the cardinal directions…north, south, east, west.
• all the land that he could see…the Lord was giving to Abram and his descendants…Forever. Again, given forever. This speaks volume to situations today. The land was given by the Lord to Abram and his descendants, forever.
• Abram’s descendants would multiply and be as numerous as the dust of the earth.
• arise, walk throughout all the land
• the Lord gave it to Abram
