"Be Alert!"

“Be Alert!”

Blessings folk!

Now, let us look at the gospel of Mark to see how it closes out the answers that Jesus gave the disciples.

Mark 13:33-37
33 "Take heed, keep on the alert; for you do not know when the appointed time will come.
34 "
It is like a man away on a journey, who upon leaving his house and putting his slaves in charge, assigning to each one his task, also commanded the doorkeeper to stay on the alert.
35 "
Therefore, be on the alert — for you do not know when the master of the house is coming, whether in the evening, at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or in the morning
36
in case he should come suddenly and find you asleep.
37 "
What I say to you I say to all, 'Be on the alert!'"

Jesus states three times that which we have seen several times in the other gospels.
“Be on the alert!”

We need to take heed.
We, as Believers, must not “fake our way” through life.
We are to take heed.
We are to be on the alert.
We are to watch.
We are to stay awake.

Why?

Because we do not know the appointed time when the Lord will return.
We do not want to be found slumbering, unprepared, fear-filled.

Many Believers will found themselves that way.

Why?

Because they do not know the Word that the Lord has given.
They expect to be “bailed out” by God when times get rough.
This is not true.
Again, we are promised to be spared the wrath of God. Yes!
We are also told that we will undergo the wrath of satan - the great tribulation.

Most of the church will be unprepared for that which the Lord clearly teaches.

Be not one of them.
Be prepared.
Be alert.
Learn the truth.
Then, help others to see the truth.
