Job 1:8
The LORD said to Satan,
“Have you considered My servant Job?
For there is no one like him on the earth,
a blameless and upright man,
fearing God and turning away from evil.”

The satan’s response?

Job 1:9
Then Satan answered the LORD,
“Does Job fear God for nothing?

The satan seems a little put out…testy.

Wonder why?

Next verse…

Job 1:10a
“Have You not made a hedge about him and his house and all that he has, on every side?…

Ah hah!

This is the answer to God’s question…”have you considered My servant Job?”

The satan had considered him.
The satan had tried to “get to him” already.

How do I know?

Because of his initial response to God…”Does Job fear God for nothing?”

The satan had discovered a “hedge about” Job that protected Him.

The Lord’s protection was upon him!!
About Job.
About his house.
About all he had.
On every side.

The satan…the accuser…was accusing God of protection.
The satan was accusing Job of faithfulness only due to “what God did for him”.
