“Not With Us!”

Today’s reading:
Matthew 10:42
Mark 9:38-41
Luke 9:49-50

The disciples of the Lord Jesus can be some of the most selfish, controlling, defensive,
pride-filled folk there are.
That is the reason we are told repeatedly to not do such.
The disciples had seen someone casting out a demon.
But, the “someone” was not part of their little group.
How dare he?!
Jesus told them to not stop him.
The man was casting out demons in the name of the Lord.
He believed.
Jesus tells them that that whoever was not against them was for them.
Determine to avoid being like the disciples. Do not seek to prevent someone from proclaiming the name of the Lord.
