Blessings Folk!!

Today’s reading in the “So That’s Why!” Bible consist of pp. 145-149...don’t have the exact chapters from Leviticus in front of me… HappyHappy

How do you live your life?

Do you live in the past? Regretting decisions? Questioning “what if”?

Do you live in the present, giving little thought to the past or the future?

Are you always looking to tomorrow, never rejoicing in the moment?

Do you live in a manner which will glorify God...be it present or future?

As to the past…

Phil 3:13-14
13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
KJV

Forgetting those things which are behind...past...
Reaching forth unto those things which are before...future...
Press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus...present...press in...press on...

The Lord has a high calling for each believer in the Lord Jesus.

We must press on.

Here is the future that I desire. Read it carefully…

Ps 71:18
18 Now also when I am old and grayheaded, O God, forsake me not; until I have shewed thy strength unto this generation, and thy power to every one that is to come.
KJV

“Now...when I am old and grayheaded”...God, do not forsake me.

The Psalmist sought the strength of the Lord for a two-fold purpose.

First, “until I have shewed thy strength unto this generation.”

We must manifest the strength of the Lord in the generation we live. So many older do not do such. The generations coming after us are watching. What do they see?

Each generation in the present is to receive strength from one another.

Second, “and Thy power to every one that is to come.”

Our lives should be lived so that those who are to come...those yet born….will hear and know of the power of God

To this generation we declare the strength of the Lord by Word and deed.

To those yet to come, the Power of God will be manifest by the testimony of the lives we lived and the fruit of righteousness and holiness...the blessing of family.

Choose today to live this way.

Blessings!!
