Rom 5:12-13
Therefore, just as through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men, because all sinned—

for until the Law sin was in the world, but sin is not imputed when there is no law.

Prior to the Law, sin was in the world.
Yet, sin is not imputed where there is no law.

Then…

Rom 5:14
Nevertheless death reigned from Adam until Moses, even over those who had not sinned in the likeness of the offense of Adam, who is a type of Him who was to come.

Death reigned from Adam until Moses…until the Law.
Even over those who had not sinned in the offense of Adam.
Even over those who had not sinned.
All die.

Then we see this…”who is a type of Him who was to come.”

Huh?

Adam was a “type” (a picture/foreshadowing) of Messiah/Jesus yet to come.

In the same way that all mankind was effected by the sin of Adam, all mankind is impacted by the One to come - Jesus.

Adam brought death to all mankind.
Jesus brings life to all mankind…to all that will believe and receive.
