"Pursue..."

“Pursue…”

Blessings folk!

The Lord continues to give us instruction.

We are to live by faith.

This faith will manifest in every element of our lives.

Hear the command…

Heb 12:14-16

Pursue peace with all men, and the sanctification without which no one will see the Lord.

See to it that no one comes short of the grace of God;
that no root of bitterness springing up causes trouble, and by it many be defiled;

that there be no immoral or godless person like Esau,
who sold his own birthright for a single meal.

We are to pursue peace with all men.
That does not mean that peace with all men will be attained.

Rom 12:18

If possible, so far as it depends on you, be at peace with all men.

As far as it depends on you.
We are to pursue peace.
We can not make someone react in peace, etc.

We are to pursue sanctification.
Without sanctification no one will see the Lord.
This simply means that one must first be saved, justified, before they can pursue holiness/sanctification.
Too many try to live holy, godly lives and are frustrated.
They are not saved.
Therefore, they will not be holy, godly.

One more.
We are to see to it that no one comes short of the grace of God…
That is interesting.
We have a role and responsibility with OneAnother within the Body to encourage, exhort, teach, model, correct, etc.
We must not come short of the grace of God.
Why?
Because no root of bitterness should be allowed…
…to be continued…

For today, pursue peace, sanctification and the fullness of the grace of God.
Reject bitterness.
