“Hypocritical Judging”

Blessings folk!

Do not judge so that you will not judged.
Yes, Jesus said it.
He meant it.
Yet, there is much more.
He was dealing with hypocrisy.

Read again…

Mat 7:1-5
“Do not judge so that you will not be judged.

“For in the way you judge, you will be judged;
and by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you.

“Why do you look at the speck that is in your brother’s eye,
but do not notice the log that is in your own eye?

“Or how can you say to your brother,
‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ and behold, the log is in your own eye?

“You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye,
and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye.

We will be judged in the way that we judge.
The Lord will judge and reveal the hypocritical heart.

He gives an example.
Pointing out the speck in a brother’s eye while ignoring the log in one’s own eye.

The Lord is showing that we often have “concern” about a matter in someone’s life, while ignoring more serious matters in our own lives.

Hypocrisy.

Reject such.

Allow the Lord to remove the speck.
Allow the Lord to remove the log.

Yes, we are to encourage and exhort one another, but remember, the Lord knows the motivation of the heart.

Be not the hypocrite.
