1Th 2:1-2

For you yourselves know, brethren, that our coming to you was not in vain,

but after we had already suffered and been mistreated in Philippi, as you know, we had the boldness in our God to speak to you the gospel of God amid much opposition.

Note the detail.

The Thessalonians knew.

Knew what?

That Paul and his friends had suffered.
They had been mistreated in Philippi - Acts 16 and 17 give the details.

Paul and friends left Philippi and arrived at Thessalonica.

They shared the gospel with boldness…the boldness of God, not of the flesh.
They shared the gospel in the midst of much opposition.

Opposition from who?
The Jewish leadership.

Boldness?
Yes.
Consider.
Some of them had just recently been beaten and jailed.

Still, they pressed on with the message of the Kingdom of God.

So should we.

Fear not.

Boldly proclaim the Kingdom.
Boldly live the Kingdom!
