Yesterday we read this…
2 Co 9:9
As it is written,
“He has distributed freely, he has given to the poor;
his righteousness endures forever.”
It is a quote…”as it is written”…from the Psalms…
Psa 112:9
He has distributed freely; he has given to the poor;
his righteousness endures forever;
his horn is exalted in honor.
What is the Spirit saying to us?
The following verses give insight…
2 Co 9:10-11
He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness.
You will be enriched in every way to be generous in every way,
which through us will produce thanksgiving to God.
He - God - who meets our need for seed and bread, will supply and multiply our seed for sowing…giving…and will increase the harvest of our righteousness.
Think on that!
The Lord supplies that which will be given.
It is the Lord’s.
We simply carry it, looking for where He wants to sow.
The outcome,
We will be enriched…in every way…to be generous…in every way.
All of which produces thanksgiving to God.
This is the true way to give.
Any other way is the confusion, chicanery, manipulation and witchcraft of man.
