"Grace to Each One..."

“Grace to Each One…”

Blessings folk!

We have seen…
There is One Lord.
There is One Body.

Ephesians 4:4-7

4 There is
one body and
one Spirit—just as you were called to the
one hope that belongs to your call—
5 one Lord,
one faith,
one baptism,
6 one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.
But grace was given to each one of us according to the measure of Christ's gift.

Verse 7 begins with “but”.
“But”?

Grace was given to each Believer.
Grace to believe.
Grace to function within the Body of Christ.
We are One by Grace.

Apparently varied degrees of grace are required for different folk.
Each is given according to the measure of Christ’s gift.
We see more of this in Romans…

But for today.

Know this.

The grace granted each of us unto salvation is exactly that measured by Christ.
The grace granted for functioning within the Body - Spiritual gifting - is according to the measure released by the Lord.

We rest in this.
We rejoice in this.
We resist the temptation of the evil one to jealousy of other gifting.
Remember, we are one.
