“My Meditation…”

Blessings folk!

Another stanza of Psalm 119 - “mem”

Psalm 119:97-100
Mem
97 Oh how I love your law!     It is my meditation all the day.
98 Your commandment makes me wiser than my enemies,     for it is ever with me.
99 I have more understanding than all my teachers,     for your testimonies are my meditation.
100 I understand more than the aged,     for I keep your precepts.

The Psalmist loves the law of the Lord.
Do you?
Do you love the precepts, commandments, instructions, etc. of the Lord?
They are “for our good”.
They are truth.

The Psalmist meditated upon the law of the Lord.
Not just “now and then”.
He did so all day long.
Not just during a “devotional time”.
All day.
Every day.
Every breath.

Look at the fruit of this pursuit.
- Wiser than enemies...for His commandments are with us.
- More understanding than all our teachers.
- Understand more than the aged...due to keeping the precepts of the Lord.

It is in knowing and keeping the precepts of the Lord that we will gain wisdom, understanding and strength.

Anything else will fail.
