John 14:8
Philip said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us.”

Hear the beginning of Jesus’ response…

John 14:9-10

Jesus said to him, “Have I been so long with you, and yet you have not come to know Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?

“Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father is in Me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on My own initiative, but the Father abiding in Me does His works.

Philip received the correction of the Lord.
A correction for him.
A correction for the disciples.
A correction for all of us.

If you have seen Jesus, you have seen Father.
The disciples were told.
They began to realize…

Father was in Jesus.
Jesus was in Father.

Jesus did not speak of His own initiative.
He spoke only what Father abiding in Him spoke.
The Word of Jesus was the Work of Father.

We experience the same today.
The Spirit abides in every true Believer.
We speak not…we live not…of our own initiative.
We live, breath, speak the Word of the Spirit.
Or at least we should.

Seek today to manifest the Works of God through the Spirit in your life.
Reject the flesh…the enemy of the Spirit.
