Mat 6:34

“So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself.
Each day has enough trouble of its own.

A major portion of Jesus’ “sermon on the mount” in Matthew 5-7 speaks of not being anxious, not worrying, not fretting.

He commands us forthrightly to not worry about tomorrow.

Why?

Because tomorrow will care for itself.

Know that each day has enough trouble of its own.
In other words, deal with the issues of the day, not the phantom issues of the future.

Note the word “so” at the beginning.
This truth is stated in light of something.

We will see.
What is that folk worry about?
Jesus tells us.
We will look later.

For today, do not worry about tomorrow…the future.
Do not fear, fret, worry over today. Lay it before the Lord.
