“Secluded. Compassion.”

Blessings folk!

The Lord felt compassion.

Compassion sometimes comes at “inconvenient” times.

Read.

Mat 14:13-14

Now when Jesus heard about John,
He withdrew from there in a boat to a secluded place by Himself;
and when the people heard of this,
they followed Him on foot from the cities.

When He went ashore, He saw a large crowd,
and felt compassion for them and healed their sick.

What had Jesus heard about John?
That John had just been executed. Beheaded.

Notice Jesus’ reaction.
He withdrew from there.
He took a boat.
He went to a secluded place.
By Himself.

He desired to be alone…with Father no doubt.

What happened?
The people heard.
They followed Him to the secluded place.

When He came ashore a large crowd awaited.
Not exactly the seclusion He sought.

He felt compassion for the crowd.
He healed the sick.

Jesus, grieved by the death of John, felt compassion for the people.
He healed.
He pressed on in compassion and love!

So should we.
