“Afraid To Ask...”

Blessings folk!

After the encounter with the father and boy, Jesus moves on with His disciples.

Read...

Mar 9:30-32
From there they went out and began to go through Galilee,
and He did not want anyone to know about it.

For He was teaching His disciples and telling them,
“The Son of Man is to be delivered into the hands of men, and they will kill Him;
and when He has been killed, He will rise three days later.”

But they did not understand this statement, and they were afraid to ask Him.

They began to go through Galilee.
Jesus did not want anyone to know about their travel.
Why?
Apparently He wanted time with the disciples.
He was teaching them.
What?
Jesus taught the Kingdom of God.

He also was telling them what was to happen to Him.
The Son of Man - Jesus - would be delivered into the hands of man.
He would be killed by them.
He would rise (from the dead) three days later.

Hard to understand? Yes.
The disciples did not understand.
Was He speaking literally or figuratively?
Was He serious?

They feared to ask Him?
Wonder why?

Likely pride and hubris.
Such will keep us from a true relationship with the Lord.
Beware!
