Eph 4:11-13

And He gave some as apostles,
and some as prophets,
and some as evangelists,
and some as pastor
and teachers,

for the equipping of the saints for the work of service,
to the building up of the body of Christ;

until we all attain to the unity of the faith,
and of the knowledge of the Son of God,
to a mature man,
to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ.

Verse 11 tells us that “God gave…”

What did he give?
Apostles
Prophets
Evangelists
Pastors
Teachers

The Lord gave.
Some view these as “spiritual gifts”.
I use to.

I am more inclined now to see them as Spirit-gifted individuals with roles and functions.

I have a question.
Why do many of our churches…
- exalt one/two of them?
- accept another?
- reject the other two?
