“Hope...Fixed...Upon?”

Blessings folk!

Upon what is your hope fixed?

Believers are often distracted by such.

We place our hope in circumstances…
We place our hope in the deeds we can do…
We place our hope in the blessings that the Lord has granted…

But, we know our hope is in the Lord Jesus Christ and the Most High God.

We receive some additional insight into this here…

1 Timothy 6:17
17 Instruct those who are rich in this present world not to be conceited or to fix their hope on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly supplies us with all things to enjoy.

Now wait…
I know what some are saying…”this Word is not for me. I’m not rich”.
Yes, the Word is for you.
Yes, you are rich.
I can say with all confidence that all of us are richer than the vast majority of mankind throughout history.
We are rich in this present world.

Hear the warning of the Lord.
Be not conceited due to the blessing of material provision and riches.
Do not fix your hope on the uncertainty of riches. Note…”the uncertainty.”

Fix your hope on God.
God supplies us with all the things we need.
We are to enjoy!

Are you satisfied with what God has richly supplied?
Are you living in joy…”enjoy”?
Or, are you fixated upon the things of the world?

Fix your hope upon the Lord.
