Jesus said to them,
“Is this not the reason you are wrong,
because you know neither the Scriptures nor the power of God?
Mat 22:29
But Jesus answered them,
“You are wrong, because you know neither the Scriptures nor the power of God.
How can we “know the Scriptures”?
We are blessed to have multitudes of ways today.
The problem is that we do not seize the moments.
We do not receive the blessing of the Lord.
So, allow me to suggest…
Listen to the Word.
This is the way that the Word was communicated and transmitted for millennia.
Listen as you drive, do tasks, etc.

Read the Word.
We are blessed as a people to be able to read.
Such has not always been.
Use a physical Bible - I like the NASB and ESV translations. Others are fine.
Use a digital resource.

Take a hiatus away from man’s interpretation.
Most people listen to other’s teaching, preaching, etc.
They think they are getting the Word.
I’m amazed at how often I’m told “the preacher really brought the Word today”, when, upon listening, what was really spoke was some agenda with a pretext of Scripture.
Here is a harsh reality.
Many “preachers” do not preach/teach the Word of God.
They tickle ears.
2 Ti 4:3-4
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires,
and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths.
They manipulate.
Jude speaks of them.
Pay attention.
Listen.
Ask the Lord to give discernment.
Listen to the Word.
Read the Word.
Take it in.
Think on it.
Ask the Lord to give you understanding.
He will.
Know the Scripture!
Know the Lord!
Live the Lord!
