The first four are new...5 or 6 more coming.
The Scripture speaks of such…
Ps 33:1-4
1 Rejoice in the Lord , O ye righteous: for praise is comely for the upright.
2 Praise the Lord with harp: sing unto him with the psaltery and an instrument of ten strings.
3 Sing unto him a new song; play skilfully with a loud noise.
4 For the word of the Lord is right; and all his works are done in truth.
KJV
We have so much for which to give the Lord thanks...all things!
The word of the Lord is right!
He does all things based on truth!
I thank the Lord for the most skillful players I have ever experienced!!
They seek to worship in Spirit and in Truth!! Press on!!
Ps 40:3-4
3 And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord.
4 Blessed is that man that maketh the Lord his trust, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.
KJV
Ps 96:1-4
1 O sing unto the Lord a new song: sing unto the Lord , all the earth.
2 Sing unto the Lord , bless his name; shew forth his salvation from day to day.
3 Declare his glory among the heathen, his wonders among all people.
4 For the Lord is great, and greatly to be praised: he is to be feared above all gods.
KJV
Isa 42:10-12
10 Sing unto the Lord a new song, and his praise from the end of the earth, ye that go down to the sea, and all that is therein; the isles, and the inhabitants thereof.
11 Let the wilderness and the cities thereof lift up their voice, the villages that Kedar doth inhabit: let the inhabitants of the rock sing, let them shout from the top of the mountains.
12 Let them give glory unto the Lord , and declare his praise in the islands.
KJV
We are to sing unto the Lord.
We are to sing a new song...a song from our spirit unto the Lord.
We are to bless His name.
We are to show forth His salvation day to day.
We are to declare His glory among the heathen.
We are to declare His wonder among all people.
We are to fear the Lord above all gods.
We see that our salvation and worship of the Lord is an active thing...not passive.
This public...aggressive!...proclamation of the Lord will bring many to salvation…”many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord!”
In the words of the Jubilee Psalmist David…”I Will Praise You!!”
In the words of the Jubilee Psalmist Flipper…”All I Want to Do”...is worship You!!
Let us do so!!

The foolishness of trusting in any process and answer of man continues to be manifest.
That which is true is being revealed.
That which is untrue is being made evident.
It you trust in money, power, possessions, process, program, your ability, your mind, your skills, your experience, etc. etc. then you will be greatly frustrated.
Great will be your fall.
As I have asked repeatedly, in what/whom do you trust?
What is your source of strength?
What is your source of courage?
Too many professing believers have put their trust in the things of this world.
This is now being removed.
At the time of this writing, the stock market...one indicator of economic circumstances… is down 200 points...close to half overall of what it was a year ago.
What we are experiencing is nothing new.
It is simply the fruit of the plans of man.
Hear the Word of the Lord…
Ps 20:7
7 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God.
KJV
Our society places trust in chariots - “Detroit” ring a bell?
We trust in “horses” ...the “strength” of “financial institutions” and the like.
But, read on…
Ps 33:16
16 There is no king saved by the multitude of an host: a mighty man is not delivered by much strength.
KJV
Salvation is not to be found in the strength/number of a host.
Man will not be delivered/rescued by his strength...regardless of how strong.
More?
Prov 21:31
31 The horse is prepared against the day of battle: but safety is of the Lord .
KJV
Yes! The Lord gives us strength and courage. He provides what we need. But, our safety is not to be found in such. Safety is in the Lord.
Look at what happens when the Lord offers his protection and rest, only to be rejected.
Isa 30:15-18
15 For thus saith the Lord God , the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength: and ye would not.
16 But ye said, No; for we will flee upon horses; therefore shall ye flee: and, We will ride upon the swift; therefore shall they that pursue you be swift.
17 One thousand shall flee at the rebuke of one; at the rebuke of five shall ye flee: till ye be left as a beacon upon the top of a mountain, and as an ensign on an hill.
18 And therefore will the Lord wait, that he may be gracious unto you, and therefore will he be exalted, that he may have mercy upon you: for the Lord is a God of judgment: blessed are all they that wait for him.
KJV
The Lord in His grace and mercy will wait.
Amazing.
Two more…
Isa 31:1
31 Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses, and trust in chariots, because they are many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the Lord !
KJV
Jer 17:5
5 Thus saith the Lord; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the Lord .
KJV
Trust in the Lord.

Dread not! Be not dismayed!
Dread not! Be not dismayed!
Blessings folk!!
More trying and troubling times are ahead.
We know this to be true. The Lord has told us. He actually told us that there will arise a time…well, here it is…
Matt 24:20-21
21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
KJV
We have seen in previous times together that the Lord instructs us to be strong and courageous...even in the worse of times.
But, the Lord also calls us to be strong and courageous in good times.
Hear the words of David (again!) to his son Solomon. This is an interesting passage.
David recounts what the Lord said to him about a son.
David learns why he will not be allowed to do the thing he so wanted...build a temple unto the Lord.
David does what he can...procures supplies, workers.
Pay attention to the situation in which Solomon would enter…
1 Chron 22:1-16
1 Then David said, "This is the house of the Lord God, and this is the altar of burnt offering for Israel." David's Preparations for the Temple
2 So David gave orders to gather the foreigners that were in the land of Israel, and he appointed stonemasons to cut finished stones for building God's house.
3 David supplied a great deal of iron to make the nails for the doors of the gateways and for the fittings, together with an immeasurable quantity of bronze,
4 and innumerable cedar logs, because the Sidonians and Tyrians had brought a large quantity of cedar logs to David.
5 David said, "My son Solomon is young and inexperienced, and the house that is to be built for the Lord must be exceedingly great and famous and glorious in all the lands. Therefore, I must make provision for it." So David made lavish preparations for it before his death.
6 Then he summoned his son Solomon and instructed him to build a house for the Lord God of Israel.
7 "My son," David said to Solomon, "It was in my heart to build a house for the name of the Lord my God,
8 but the word of the Lord came to me: 'You have shed much blood and waged great wars. You are not to build a house for My name because you have shed so much blood on the ground before Me.
9 But a son will be born to you; he will be a man of rest. I will give him rest from all his surrounding enemies, for his name will be Solomon, and I will give peace and quiet to Israel during his reign.
10 He is the one who will build a house for My name. He will be My son, and I will be his father. I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel forever.'
11 "Now, my son, may the Lord be with you, and may you succeed in building the house of the Lord your God, as He said about you.
12 Above all, may the Lord give you insight and understanding when He puts you in charge of Israel so that you may keep the law of the Lord your God.
13 Then you will succeed if you carefully follow the statutes and ordinances the Lord commanded Moses for Israel. Be strong and courageous. Don't be afraid or discouraged.
14 "Notice I have taken great pains to provide for the house of the Lord—3,775 tons of gold, 37,750 tons of silver, and bronze and iron that can't be weighed because there is so much of it. I have also provided timber and stone, but you will need to add more to them.
15 You also have many workers: stonecutters, masons, carpenters, and people skilled in every kind of work
16 in gold, silver, bronze, and iron—beyond number. Now begin the work, and may the Lord be with you."
(from Holman Christian Standard Bible® Copyright © 1999, 2000, 2002, 2003, 2005 by Holman Bible Publishers.)
In contemporary vernacular, Solomon “had it made.”
David had provided abundantly for the construction to be done.
He prepared for years...until his death. I find it interesting that he knew of this prior to the time that Solomon was born...v. 9...David was told what to name him!
The vision was there.
The plan was there.
The supplies were there.
Solomon knew that he would have:
- rest...no conflict, no war, he would be a man of rest
- peace
- quiet
- the blessing of his father
- the blessing of Father God
In light of all this, why did David tell Solomon to “be strong and courageous…don’t be afraid or discouraged.”
There would be tremendous temptation in Solomon’s life to place his eyes upon the things of the world...to be distracted from God. This actually occurred later...cost him much.
Solomon would rest, but in what would he rest...the provision of his father, his wisdom, the stuff, the power, the process, the building, the accomplishment?
We have the answer.
“Then you will succeed if you carefully follow the statutes and ordinances the LORD commanded Moses for Israel. Be strong and courageous. Don’t be afraid or discouraged.”
Strength and courage are found in the Lord!
His Word will not fail us.
If we rest...if we trust...in anything else, we will fail.
The world may think you have attained success, but the fire of the last days will purify, revealing that which is of eternal significance.
Therefore, let us rest and trust in the Lord.

Show Yourself A Man
Show Yourself A Man
Blessings Folk!!
Following up some on yesterday’s thoughts...be strong and courageous, be strong and very courageous.
Let us continue to learn what it means to be strong.
David - the King of Israel, the shepherd of God, the Psalmist and worshipper of Yahweh - was about to die. He had something to say to his son Solomon - the heir, the next King of the people of the Lord. Thus the charge of the father to the son. Give attention to what was important to this servant as he neared his reward…
1 Kings 2:1-4
1 David's time to die drew near, he charged Solomon his son, saying,
2 "I am going the way of all the earth. Be strong, therefore, and show yourself a man.
3 "Keep the charge of the Lord your God, to walk in His ways, to keep His statutes, His commandments, His ordinances, and His testimonies, according to what is written in the Law of Moses, that you may succeed in all that you do and wherever you turn,
4 so that the Lord may carry out His promise which He spoke concerning me, saying, 'If your sons are careful of their way, to walk before Me in truth with all their heart and with all their soul, you shall not lack a man on the throne of Israel.'
NASU
David told his son, Solomon, to be strong!
He then told him to “show yourself a man.”
Often we hear the exhortation to “be a man” (women are included...come on now! )
But, how does one show himself a man?
It has nothing to do with that which attracts the world…
- power over others
- physical strength
- money
- “success”
- education
- material goods
- popularity
- etc. etc.
David lays it out.
One shows himself to be a man by:
- Keeping the charge of the Lord your God
- Keeping the statutes of God
- Keeping the commandments of God
- Keeping the ordinances of God
- Keeping the testimonies of God
- Walking in the ways of God
..all according to the Law of Moses - the Word of God!!
In this, one will succeed in all that is done and at every turn.
It is in this...keeping the charge of the Lord...that the next generation honors the previous generation.
If we are careful to walk before the Lord, then the promises of God given unto the previous generations will be fulfilled.
We must be careful to do so.
We are to walk before the Lord with all our heart, mind, soul and strength.
But, some would say, that is Old Testament, that is the Law. We are no longer under the law.
Yes, in a manner of speaking.
But, remember, the Law was fulfilled in the Lord Jesus. Not annihilated.
We “live the law” in the freedom of the Lord Jesus Christ and all that entails.
According to Jesus we are to...
Matt 22:37-40
37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
KJV
Therefore, be strong and very courageous in the Lord.
Therefore, keep the Word of the Lord.
Therefore, love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind, soul and strength.
Therefore, love one another!

Be Strong and Very Courageous
Blessings Folk!!
Joshua was 80 years old.
He has seen the miracles of God
- the ten plagues upon Egypt
- the exodus of the people
- the mountain of the Lord
- the wondering in the wilderness for 40 years...no clothes nor shoes wore out
- the death of all 20 years of age and over
- rocks that flowed with water
- the Promise land...he and Caleb had brought a favorable report
- the life of Moses, servant of God
Now, God had chosen Joshua to lead the people.
Moses had died.
Joshua was to replace Moses.
Look at the Word the Lord spoke unto him…
Josh 1:1-9
1 Now it came about after the death of Moses the servant of the Lord , that the Lord spoke to Joshua the son of Nun, Moses' servant, saying,
2 "Moses My servant is dead; now therefore arise, cross this Jordan, you and all this people, to the land which I am giving to them, to the sons of Israel.
3 "Every place on which the sole of your foot treads, I have given it to you, just as I spoke to Moses.
4 "From the wilderness and this Lebanon, even as far as the great river, the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and as far as the Great Sea toward the setting of the sun will be your territory.
5 "No man will be able to stand before you all the days of your life. Just as I have been with Moses, I will be with you; bI will not fail you or forsake you.
6 "Be strong and courageous, for you shall give this people possession of the land which I swore to their fathers to give them.
7 "Only be strong and very courageous; be careful to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, so that you may have success wherever you go.
8 "This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success.
9 "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go." NASU
The Lord knew that Joshua needed encouragement and exhortation.
Look at the promises the Lord made to Joshua
- No man will be able to stand before you all the days of your life.
- Just as I have been with Moses, I will be with you.
- I will not fail you.
- I will not forsake you.
If you are a true believer in the Lord Jesus Christ you can rejoice in the same.
The Lord will be you.
The Lord will not fail you.
The Lord will not forsake you.
Now, give heed to the commandment of the Lord to Joshua.
Be strong and courageous.
Only be strong and very courageous.
Be strong a courageous.
A three-fold declaration from the Lord! He meant it.
The Word is for us also - be strong and very courageous!
“But, how to ‘be strong’?”
The Lord gives us the source of strength.
- Be careful to do according to the law which Moses My servant commanded you
- Do not turn from the Law...to the right nor the left
- You will have success wherever you go...if you give heed to the law...the Word.
- The book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth
- Meditate upon the Word day and night
- Then you will prosper and have success.
Let us do so.
Impart the Word of the Lord into your life.
Let it flow from your mouth.
Be careful to do all that is written in it.
Receive the commandment of the Lord…
Be strong!
Be courageous!
Do not tremble!
Do not be dismayed!
For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.

Because They Have Been There...
“Because they have been there…”
Blessings Folk!!
Welcome to several new folk.
Remember. If you would rather not receive this email, let me know!
Those of y’all local know something that I say all the time...a dale-ism…”the number 1 reason people don’t ‘go to church’ is because they have been there…”
I’ve had several encounters this week that confirm the thought.
One young couple with whom I was speaking were explaining that they “did not go to church much”. I had asked about their relationship with God. When I explained that I was not so much interested in their “church attendance” as with their relationship with God, they were noticeably relieved.
Several renewed/refreshed relationships from the past (Facebook is amazing) voiced the same thought. One said “all the churches we have tried were oriented around social activities.”
We are to undoubtedly not forsake the gathering together of the Body…
Heb 10:25
25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
KJV
There is also little doubt that what we associate with “church” - meetings, groups, programs, buildings, “leadership”, etc. etc. - has little to do with what we see in the Word of God.
The church, by definition - the elect, the redeemed, etc. - is the Body of Christ. We are regardless of where we are!
I know that most of us understand this, but, what we communicate can be different.
Do we speak of “church” as an event, a place, an activity, and organization?
or…
Do we speak of the church as the organism which is the Body of Christ...empowered by the Holy Spirit for the work of the Kingdom?
Does what we say align with how we live?
Yes. Do not forsake the gathering together of ourselves, but, also realize that that gathering is every moment of every day.
Some of the most intense moments as the Body will take place at work, over a meal, shopping, time with friends/family, “Divine-encounters”, etc.
Reflect upon the life of the Lord. Did He wait “until church” to do the work of the Father?
- A profound teaching on the Kingdom...on a mountain side.
- Amazing revelation and insight into future events...while walking...leaving the temple, then in a grove of trees.
- Confrontation with religion in the temple...and in the outer courts.
- around the meal table
- on a boat
- in a graveyard...setting the captive free!
- I could go on...but you get the point.
If you are resting on a weekly gathering to live as a portion of the Body, then you will be anemic in your walk with the Lord and impact for the Kingdom.
Let us determine to “be” the church...a vessel of the Most High God…wherever we are.
More people will be brought into the Kingdom by our faithfulness to the Lord and the life of holiness that He has for us.
Let’s quit trying to get people to “go to church.”
Let’s manifest the Power and Presence of the Lord.
Let’s speak the Truth of the Gospel.
The world will then be drawn to Him.
One last thought.
The “not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together” will become more and more important as we “see the day approaching”. What day? I suspect the day of the Lord. We have been promised to be spared the wrath of God - the Day of the Lord. But, just prior to that, the church will undergo the wrath of satan - the great tribulation. Being in correct relationship with the Lord and with His Body will be imperative.
Seek the Lord.
He will lead you to that portion of the Body of Christ that He desires.

Whoa!!
All you have to do is to answer a simple question and folk reveal their heart.
I responded to a posting on a somewhat proprietary/private internet group designed for leaders that lead a particular style of Bible study.
Just gave a simple response to a great question. The poster asked in humility...one can tell.
The initial poster was gracious and thankful in their response.
A couple of others were not.
Up arose the favorite “pet doctrines”…and woe to those who might question it. LOL
I’m amazed at how defensive, how rude, some who profess to be believers become.
Rather than discuss what the Scripture says, they launch with statements such as “that is what YOU thing” (all caps means someone is raising their voice/shouting) or “several other solid Bible teachers” agree with me.
Others forward useful information seeking to set me free from my error. I’m thankful for all the help I can get. One such bit of information was very useful in confirming what the Word says...though I doubt the submitter would think so.
Usually they do not provide Scripture.
Usually they do not want to discuss what the Word says.
Usually they simply want to say “that is what I think” and be done with it.
We are all to be teachable.
We are all to seek the full counsel of the Word of God.
We are to walk in love with one another.
Therefore,
Isa 1:18
18 "Come now, and let us reason together," Says the Lord , "Though your sins are as scarlet, They will be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They will be like wool.
NASU
Acts 18:1-4
After these things Paul departed from Athens, and came to Corinth;
2 And found a certain Jew named Aquila, born in Pontus, lately come from Italy, with his wife Priscilla; (because that Claudius had commanded all Jews to depart from Rome and came unto them.
3 And because he was of the same craft, he abode with them, and wrought: for by their occupation they were tentmakers.
4 And he reasoned in the synagogue every sabbath, and persuaded the Jews and the Greeks.
KJV
I’ve encountered this attitude/response often through the years.
The sad thing is that it is usually among those that are saved...and we wonder why the world is not attracted to the Lord through the lives we live…
Remember, we are not to be “defensive for the Lord.” There is a tremendous difference in defending the faith and being defensive.
2 Tim 4:2-4
2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
KJV
The Lord told us that the world would know that we are His…
not by our “correct doctrine” (though correct doctrine is important)
not by our programs
not by our faithfulness
not by our “churches”
not by our...etc. etc. etc.
By one thing the world will know that we truly are His…
John 13:35
By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
KJV
Let us manifest His love in all things!!
Are you not...?

I’ve posted an extended Podcast - Vertical Vision - related to questions that folk have been asking me of late…’bout the economy, etc.
I have no hope in the plans of man.
The “wizards and geniuses” are all totally wrong in the foundation of their knowledge, understanding and thereby, their approach to “crisis resolution” will lead to destruction.
Those which caused the problem now claim to have the answers...or worse yet, they say “we are working on it.”
They are clueless.
The President stands and lies forthrightly - “there is no pork in the bill.”
The Treasury Secretary equivocates and presents a plan full of...well...nothing...nothing more than continued chains upon the people.
Fascism is the freedom of the day.
Are you not rejoicing that we are no longer slave to this world?
Gal 3:28
7 Therefore you are no longer a slave, but a son;
and if a son, then an heir through God.
NASU
Are you not ecstatic to be a friend of God? (If you are not...or worse yet, you are a “religious” person...you better repent, confess...time ‘s a’wast’n.)
Are you not overwhelmed with the love of the Body?
John 15:12-17
12 "This is My commandment, that you love one another, just as I have loved you.
13 "Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends.
14 "You are My friends if you do what I command you.
15 "No longer do I call you slaves, for the slave does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I have heard from My Father I have made known to you.
16 "You did not choose Me but I chose you, and appointed you that you would go and bear fruit, and that your fruit would remain, so that whatever you ask of the Father in My name He may give to you.
17 "This I command you, that you love one another.
NASU
Are you not overwhelmed with the truth and reality of freedom in the Lord Jesus Christ?
Gal 5:1
5 It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery.
NASU
Gal 5:13
13 For you were called to freedom, brethren; only do not turn your freedom into an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.
NASU
1 Peter 2:16
16 Act as free men, and do not use your freedom as a covering for evil, but use it as bondslaves of God.
NASU
We continue to pray.
We continue to speak the truth...the Truth of the gospel, the truth of politics, history, etc.

Rapture
Rapture!!
Blessings Folk!
This is the big week.
In our local Bible studies we have been in the Word of God together for nearly 10 years.
That is exciting!
In recent months/years we have been studying 1 Thessalonians, 2 Thessalonians, Daniel and currently, Revelation.
This week the lesson is the culmination of study related to the rapture.
If you live locally, drop in tonight or tomorrow (email me for location/time details) for the discussion. Visitors are always welcome.
We have been spending much time in studying Scripture related to “end-times.”
Why?
First, God has given us a tremendous amount of information. He has a reason for doing so. I think one of major reasons is that we would be prepared.
Second, much...if not most...of what is “thought, understood” etc. within the Body of Christ related to the coming of the Lord is incorrect.
For the most part “end-time” information is not taught.
Oh, pithy, deep-sounding, theological tidbits are thrown out from the pulpit and sunday school classes from time to time, but rarely are they related to the Word. They are usually “what I think” and more often what we were told somewhere along the way.
We are to know the truth.
We are to encourage/comfort one another in the truth.
1 Thess 4:13-18
13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
KJV
Here is the truth related to the rapture.
The Lord died, rose again and has gone to prepare a place for true believers.
He will return
shall descend from heaven with a shout
with the voice of the archangel
with the trump of God
the dead in Christ shall rise first
we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds
we will forever be with the Lord.
Of course, the “big debate” is when this will occur.
The Word tells us we will not know the day nor hour, but we will know the season.
Here is the bottom line...all the “usual” positions from most of our backgrounds are incorrect.
Pre-Trib...wrong
Mid-Trib...wrong
Post-Trib...wrong
Amilleniallism….wrong
Here is the truth…
There will be a final 7 year period...often misnamed “the Tribulation”...it should be called “the 70th week of Daniel.” Daniel 9
At the beginning of this 70th week, the man of lawlessness (antichrist) will sign/affirm a covenant with Israel
At the mid-point of the 70th week (3 ½ years) he will break it, enter in the temple, stop the sacrifices and declare himself to be god.
At the mid-point of the 70th week the man of lawlessness will begin to attack Israel/Jews and the church…this is the great tribulation of which Jesus spoke...Matt. 24-25. The great tribulation is a period of time within the 70th week...not the entire 70th week.
REMEMBER THIS!!! The great tribulation is the wrath of Satan against man… specifically the Jews, the church and those who reject the mark. The wrath of God is God’s judgment upon unbelieving mankind. This is where many err. They read the Scripture and believe that the wrath of God and the great tribulation are synonymous. Wrong!
The great tribulation is cut short. By what? The coming of the Lord. During the 70th week the seals of the scroll (Revelation) are being broken. At the breaking of the 6th seal the sun, moon and stars go dark. This is the sign of the end of the age. The prophets spoke of such. Then the Lord comes in brilliance. The church is raptured after the 6th seal and prior to the 7th seal. The 7th seal brings forth the wrath of God - the 7 trumpets and 7 bowls.
So, the church will not “miss” the great tribulation. The “Left Behind” authors are wrong.
Yes, we will be spared the wrath of God, but we have been promised trials, tribulations and persecutions...the ultimate of which will be the great tribulation.
Is it really important to have a correct understanding of “end-time” Scripture?
Yes. I believe so.
I think that too many true believers will not be prepared for the days to come.
They will not be pursuing the Lord.
They will be distracted by the cares and concerns of this world.
They will not be living lives of holiness.
They will have believed that “we’ll be outta here” and will be open to deception.
Obviously, there is much more to learn. Meanwhile, may we press on, rejoicing that the Lord is coming soon!
Do likewise.
Exhort!
Blessings Folk!
Encouragement. Exhortation.
Yesterday we looked at encouraging one another.
Today, let’s look at exhortation.
What is exhortation?
I like to think of exhortation as being what we see when the football coach grabs a player by the face mask, demands his attention, speaks truth to him, then sends him out to execute.
To exhort means to “give warnings, advice - to make urgent appeals.”
Hear the word of the Lord…
Watch what Paul exhorts them to do…
1 Thess 4:1-12
1 Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, so ye would abound more and more.
2 For ye know what commandments we gave you by the Lord Jesus.
3 For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication:
4 That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour;
5 Not in the lust of concupiscence, even as the Gentiles which know not God:
6 That no man go beyond and defraud his brother in any matter: because that the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also have forewarned you and testified.
7 For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness.
8 He therefore that despiseth, despiseth not man, but God, who hath also given unto us his holy Spirit.
9 But as touching brotherly love ye need not that I write unto you: for ye yourselves are taught of God to love one another.
10 And indeed ye do it toward all the brethren which are in all Macedonia: but we beseech you, brethren, that ye increase more and more;
11 And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you;
12 That ye may walk honestly toward them that are without, and that ye may have lack of nothing.
KJV
We are to:
abound more and more in walking in the manner that is pleasing to God
abound (grow, increase) in sanctification...holiness
abstain from fornication
know how to posses our bodies in holiness and honor
refuse to walk in concupiscence (lustful passion)
not live as the Gentiles
not defraud our brother in any matter...any!
remember that we are not called to uncleanness, but to holiness
not reject this teaching of walking in holiness...it comes from the Holy Spirit
increase more and more in love for the brethren
study to be quiet...to lead a quiet life
attend to our own business
work with our own hands...that we may lack nothing…
walk honestly toward those who are “without” ...outside the Body of Christ
All of this we are exhorted...strongly encouraged...to do.
Read the subsequent six verses...amazing…
KJV
Paul exhorts them to pursue a pattern and practice of life that reflects the holiness of God.
He immediately ties this in with the return of the Lord. Tremendous detail here. Give heed.
Then the last verse…
We are to comfort one another with these words.
Therefore, do so today.
Pursue holiness.
Exhort yourself and one another.
Comfort one another with the truth that the Lord will return...soon, soon, soon!!
Today’s reading from the “So That’s Why!” Bible consists of pp. 201-205. Numbers 22-24...the talking ass!
Blessings!!
Encourage!
Blessings Folk!!
Often it is difficult.
To press on in that which you are doing...in that which you believe the Lord is leading.
Most of us receive little, if any, encouragement and exhortation...even from the Body of Christ.
We receive plenty of “input”, “correction” and the like. People are always willing to point of that which is lacking, that which is wrong, that which could be improved. But, rare is the person that speaks forth the Word of love and encouragement.
Let’s look some at encouragement.
1 Thess 5:11
11 Therefore encourage one another and build up one another,
just as you also are doing.
NASU
In this verse we see that we are to encourage one another.
We are to build up one another.
The Body at Thessolanica was doing so, yet Paul wanted them to excel still more.
One very important word needs to be observed. Did you see it?
“Therefore”…
Y’all know what that means….”when you see ‘therefore’, look to see what it is there for”.
This will shock some of you.
This will exhort others.
Paul spent only a few short weeks with this group.
He was then “run outta town” by the religious rulers.
Yet, in that brief time, Paul told them about the return of the Lord.
Most of the Body of Christ do not know these truths.
If they do, they often pervert them to their own interpretation.
Read carefully.
Read in the Spirit.
1 Thess 5:1-11
5 Now as to the times and the epochs, brethren, you have no need of anything to be written to you.
2 For you yourselves know full well that the day of the Lord will come just like a thief in the night.
3 While they are saying, "Peace and safety!" then destruction will come upon them suddenly like labor pains upon a woman with child, and they will not escape.
4 But you, brethren, are not in darkness, that the day would overtake you like a thief;
5 for you are all sons of light and sons of day. We are not of night nor of darkness;
6 so then let us not asleep as bothers do, but let us be alert and sober.
7 For those who sleep do their sleeping at night, and those who get drunk get drunk at night.
8 But since we are of the day, let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet, the hope of salvation.
9 For God has not destined us for wrath, but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,
10 who died for us, so that whether we are awake or asleep, we will live together with Him.
11 Therefore encourage one another and build up one another, just as you also are doing.
NASU
We are to encourage one another in these truths..
as to the times and epochs, the Lord has revealed much...all we need to know!
the Day of the Lord will not overtake us as thief in the night...it will be a thief to the world...but, we who are in the light, will not be surprised!
we are sons of light
we are sons of day
be alert
be sober
put on the breastplate of faith and love
put on the helmet of the hope of our salvation
we are not destined for the wrath of God!!
we are destined for salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ!!
we will live together with Him
Today, encourage one another with these words.
Encourage all!
Encourage your boss.
Encourage your employees.
Encourage your spouse.
Encourage your children.
Encourage your friends.
Encourage your enemies.
Speak forth words of love and encourage, then, bring forth the word of exhortation if needed...more later...
Today’s reading in the “So That’s Why Bible” consists of pp. 195-200. Numbers 17-21.

Stand Still!
Blessings Folk!!
Trust, Faith, Hope…
We spend much of our time together in examining the Word of the Lord related to our trusting in Him.
The reason?
More trying times are ahead.
Evil is increasing.
The Lord has revealed much...very much...related to what will occur in the last days.
I believe that we are seeing a foreshadow of those days.
Let me hasten to say that I do not believe that we have entered the 70th week of Daniel. (If you are uncertain as to what that is...take time to view the Revelation video series at my website - http://www.dalemoore.tv )
But, what we are experiencing is laying the groundwork for the man of lawlessness.
Consider the “economy.”
All that is being done to “deal with the problem” will come to naught.
“We” are simply doing what has failed in the past.
This is not a “political” statement nor a “party” issue.
It is a simple statement of fact based upon observation of history.
“Stimulus” will not work.
“Bailout” will not work.
It is all...yes, all...a house of cards built upon lie, deception, deceit. We are bearing the fruit of such, particularly over the past 100 years, yet stretching back more than 200 years.
Most people will not understand.
Most don’t want to know.
Most want somebody to “do something.”
What are we, true believers, to do?
Let’s start with the example of Moses…
Num 9:8
8 And Moses said unto them, Stand still, and I will hear what the Lord will command concerning you.
KJV
A problem had arisen. Some of the folk had come to Moses for a solution. We should do what Moses says…
Stand still.
Hear what the Lord commands concerning the matter.
We see the same idea in other portions of the Word...
Ex 14:13-14
13 And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord , which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever.
14 The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.
KJV
Fear not!
See...wait upon...the salvation of the Lord.
Hold your peace. The Lord will fight for you.
One more…
Ps 46:10-11
10 Be still, (NASB translates as “cease striving&rdquo and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.
11 The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.
KJV
So what are we to do as our “leaders” continue to worsen things...as they continue to lie, kill, steal and destroy?
Recap…
Stand still...cease striving..
Hear the Lord...listen for Him
Fear not!
See the salvation of the Lord...wait upon Him
Hold your peace….remember the Lord will fight
Know that He is God
Exalt the Lord among the heathen...the world.
Remember, the Lord of Hosts is with us.
Remember, the Lord is our refuge.
I exhort you to be in the Word.
I encourage you to learn the truth related to history, government, politics, economics.
(Let me know if you need guidance as to resources.)
Lastly, realize that we are in the “training period” of days yet to come.
Learning to live completely in the trust of the Lord is a step by step process.
Do so.
I’ll have a new Podcast up in a little while…

Blessings...and thanks for your time!!
Want Peace? Dwell.
Blessings Saints!!
Where do you dwell?
Not necessarily the physical location of your presence at this moment.
But, where are your thoughts, your dreams, your ambitions, your wants, your desires?
If you dwell anywhere else other than with the Lord then you will be miserable.
Ps 91:1
He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High Will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.
NASU
Those who are true believers are called to abide in the Lord. That is what John 15 is about.
If we abide in the Lord...if we dwell in His shelter...we are literally in the shadow of the Almighty.
We will never be forsaken.
We will never be abandoned.
Ps 91:14-16
14 "Because he has loved Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him securely on high, because he has known My name.
15 "He will call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him.
16 "With a long life I will satisfy him And let him see My salvation."
NASU
Look at what the Lord will do for those who love Him
I will set him securely on high...why?...because he has known My name… The name of the Lord speaks of the character of God. Those who love Him know Who He truly is. We experience the fullness of His name...His character...with every breath.
The Lord will answer us when we call upon Him
He will be with us in trouble...note that there will not be a lack of trouble
God will rescue us.
God will honor us.
God will satisfy us with a long life.
God will let us see His salvation.
We need to remember this today.
We will definitely need to remember in days to come.
We must actively live and apply these truths today.
Isa 26:3-4
3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
4 Trust ye in the Lord for ever: for in the Lord JEHOVAH is everlasting strength:
KJV
Do so!!
Today’s reading from the “So That’s Why Bible” consist of pp. 183-188.
Blessings!!
Horses and Chariots
Blessings Folk!!
Where is your trust?
We talk about that a lot. It is necessary.
Every day, the news increases with evidence of the fruit of man trusting in his own ways and methods.
Ps 20:7
7 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God.
KJV
So many, even within the professing church, trust in their ability and their power.
We trust in the chariots.
We trust in the horse.
Ask “Detroit” about that!!
Resist the temptation to trust in anything other than the Lord.
Live by “the name of the Lord.”
Don’t “turn back to Egypt” - the ways of the world.
Isa 31:1
Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses, and trust in chariots, because they are many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the Lord !
KJV
Woe to those who go back to the ways of the world.
Woe to those who do not turn to the Holy One.
Woe to those who do not seek the Lord.
Therefore, let us remember the following. Let us lift this up to the Lord...for ourself and our nation.
Ps 33:16-22
16 There is no king saved by the multitude of an host:
a mighty man is not delivered by much strength.
17 An horse is a vain thing for safety: neither shall he deliver any by his great strength.
18 Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy;
19 To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.
20 Our soul waiteth for the Lord : he is our help and our shield.
21 For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name.
22 Let thy mercy, O Lord , be upon us, according as we hope in thee.
KJV
As it becomes more evident that:
the king and his kingdom will not be saved by a multitude of a host (throwing ex nihilo “dollars” at problems)
that mighty men will not be delivered by much strength (ex nihilo “dollars&rdquo
that stuff is a vain thing for safety (it will all burn)
Let us remember:
the eye of the Lord is upon them that fear Him
the eye of the Lord is upon them that hope in Him
the Lord will deliver our soul from death
the Lord will keep us alive in famine!! (the outcome of ex nihilo “dollars&rdquo
Let us:
wait upon the Lord
trust the Lord for He is our help and our shield
rejoice in Him
hope in the Lord alone.
Selah!!
