Believers!
There is something to be seen.
There is something to be heard.
There is something to be gleaned.
There is something to be learned.
Are you watching the impact of Hurricane Harvey?
A couple of things.
At the moment, basic/average folk are providing many rescues via boat.
A picture emerged before me.
In the same way that people are rescuing with the equipment they have…
We as the Body of Christ are to rescue those of the world…before the next, great flood.
The flood of God’s wrath that will poured out on unbelieving mankind.
This should be/will be done in innumerable ways by the Body of the Lord being faithful to Him and moving as His Spirit desires.
I’ll give you an example of something that happened with Harvey.
Someone knew of the weather possibilities in advance…more so than one will hear on “regular” news broadcast.
This was shared with a fellow believer in the Houston area.
They checked it out.
They prepared.
They are better off today because of it.
The Body functioning together.
The Lord speaking…
- prophetically
- words of wisdom
- words of knowledge
Words that change.
We are to do this in all things.
We know from the Word that the Lord…
- guides the clouds
- guides the lighting bolt
Job 37:11
“Also with moisture He loads the thick cloud;
He disperses the cloud of His lightning.
Job 37:15
“Do you know how God establishes them,
And makes the lightning of His cloud to shine?
Job 36:32
“He covers His hands with the lightning,
And commands it to strike the mark.
Job 28:26
When He set a limit for the rain
And a course for the thunderbolt,
Job 37:6
“For to the snow He says, ‘Fall on the earth,'
And to the downpour and the rain, ‘Be strong.’
Isa 5:6
“I will lay it waste;
It will not be pruned or hoed,
But briars and thorns will come up.
I will also charge the clouds to rain no rain on it.”
Jer 10:13
When He utters His voice, there is a tumult of waters in the heavens,
And He causes the clouds to ascend from the end of the earth;
He makes lightning for the rain,
And brings out the wind from His storehouses.
What is He saying/doing with this storm?
What is He desiring to do through you?
