“He Gave Teachers”

Blessings folk!

The Lord has given…
apostles
prophets
evangelists
pastors
for the equipping of the saints and the building up of the Body of Christ.

There is one more.
Read the passage again…perhaps the last time? Happy Happy

Eph 4:11-13

And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers,

for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ;

until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ.

The Lord gave teachers - “didaskalos”: a teacher

Teachers teach the things of the Lord, of the Kingdom, of His Word, of His Spirit.

Often, people believe that is one who is a teacher in one arena, such as a school teacher, is called to the role of “teacher” within the Kingdom.

Such is not necessarily true.

Yes, a teacher vocationally may be called to teach in the Body.
But, the Lord may call someone to teach in the Body who is not a “teacher” vocationally.

The Lord does not see as we do.

These individuals - apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, teachers - are empowered by the Spirit for the work of the Kingdom.

We would do well to live the Kingdom as the Lord designed.

May we listen to Him.
May we hear Him.
May we align our lives, structures, organizations, etc according to His Word.
