“Worry Not”

Today’s reading:
Matthew 6:25-34
Luke 12:22-32

In these verses Jesus gives us very precise commandments on how Believers are to live.
Sadly, many Believers reject the commandments. Far too many seek “peace” in things other than the Lord. Rather than casting their cares upon the Lord, they seek to salve them via material things...relationships, possessions, food, drink, drugs of all sorts. Such should not be.
We are commanded to not worry.
We are commanded to be not anxious.
Examples are given - birds, lilies.
God has promised to meet our needs...food, shelter, clothing.
Do not confuse “need” with “greed.”
Do not worry about tomorrow.
Do not be anxious.
Rather, seek first His Kingdom.
Seek first His righteousness.
All these things will be added to you.
