“Hunger…”

Blessings folk!

The people were hungry…

Mar 8:1-2

In those days, when there was again a large crowd and they had nothing to eat,
Jesus called His disciples and said to them,

“I feel compassion for the people
because they have remained with Me now three days and have nothing to eat.

People are still hungry today.

They hunger for the Word of God.

It is a rarity to hear the Word truly taught in most congregations.
Oh, we talk.
Oh, we tell stories.
Oh, recount events.
We are “relevant”.
We are “interesting.”

All the while, people that were gathering are voting with their feet.
People that have never been, refuse to consider.

It is also a rarity to see the Word of God truly lived.
Oh, we talk about it.
But, our live reflect otherwise.
Oh, we organize, systematize, committee-ize, commision-ize.
But, we reject the Word and go our own way.

Remember the Word of the Lord…

Jhn 6:35
Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life;
he who comes to Me will not hunger,
and he who believes in Me will never thirst.

In the last days, which biblically speaking we are in, there will be a void of the truth of the Word.
People will desire to hear what will tickle their ears.

 2Ti 4:3-4
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine;
but wanting to have their ears tickled,
they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires,

and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths.

Know the Truth.
Stand firm in the Truth.
Feast on the Truth.
Hunger not.
